Playa del Carmen is a beautiful place to visit, with warm waters and great food!

I stayed at this cute little hotel called La Tortuga Hotel & Spa for 5 days. It was a great deal, you even get a voucher from the front desk for a free breakfast at their restaurant each day.
The food was amazing and I highly recommend getting one of their blended juices- so yummy and refreshing!
The room I stayed in was super small, but it didn’t bother me at all since I was only there to sleep.
This hotel is literally walking distance to everything; restaurants, shops and the beautiful blue ocean.
I did rent a car during my visit though to see some of the ruins in Tulum and Coba. I would recommend renting a car if you are staying longer as it is a cheaper option compared to taking a taxi.
During my stay, I also took the ferry to Cozumel to snorkel with some fish. Later that day, I took the Chocolates Kaokao Factory tour! I LOVE CHOCOLATE! This was one of the highlights of my trip. The tour was really short, but the owner of the little factory was extremely passionate about chocolate making; it was so inspiring. Anyone with that much pride in what they do is awesome in my book. I would love to go back because they only sell their amazing chocolate within Mexico. If anyone ever visits Cozumel, please buy me some of their chocolate!

Another cool place I went was Xcaret! download-3

download-4It is an eco park with a sample of Mexico’s culture, nature, food, music and beauty. So, the best part of this place is the hammocks! Very relaxing to just take a nap in the afternoon after exploring the park. There are quite a lot to see though so I didn’t lay around too much because I only had a one day pass. Also, don’t miss the show!

  Ruins are the BEST!

Tulum was beautiful to walk around and has a great view of the download-6crystal clear ocean from the hills, but I enjoyed Coba a lot more. The place was so much more interesting. I rode on a bike tuk tuk tour, the driver gave an in depth explanation about the place. It was pretty awesome, and I highly recommend it if you go.

I would definitely go back to Playa del Carmen again. This place was so amazing and magical. Have you ever been to Playa del Carmen? What was your favorite spot? Feel free to share!
